A new member orientation was held last week, and many of the new members have already contributed to new programming ideas or past Sandbox events. We are very excited to have everyone on board.

Your next opportunity to welcome new members in person will be at the SUMMER MEMBERSHIP ASSEMBLY & ANNUAL BBQ, which will be held July 19 beginning at 4:30pm, at Leslie Law’s house. Details to follow. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Thanks to all who participated in the nomination process for the next generation of Sandbox Members! At this time, the Membership Committee is seeking feedback from all current members regarding the candidates. For more information, and to see the list of nominees, click on the “MembersEyesOnly” section of our site, and log in. (Once you’ve entered the password, look for the “2010 New Membership Nominations” link in the brown sidebar on the right .)

The period of feedback will end April 9, and all approved nominees will be announced prior to the Spring General Assembly (April 19). New Members will be voted in at the next General Assembly–hope to see you there!

The last position, Membership Committee Rep, is still open, waiting to be filled by an eager Sandbox member. The responsibility of this position includes attending Membership Committee Meetings, reporting to the Leadership Committee, and overseeing the New Member nominations and elections, which are currently in process for 2010.
